The D.C. Library has partnered with Capital Fringe to bring local band Paint Branch to the Southeast Library. Paint Branch is John Davis and Chris Richards. Their self-titled EP was released in June 2015.

Pollinator Plant Seed Giveaway
Department of Energy & Environment (1200 1st St. NE)

On December 16, the Department of Energy and Environment will give away native pollinator plant seeds (while supplies last) and staff will be available to answer your questions. Pollinator seed packets make great holiday gifts that give back! Native flowering plants are beautiful and create valuable habitat for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators.
Jedi Jamboree: A Star Wars Party

Excited for the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens? The Northeast Neighborhood Library is too! Join them for an evening of games, trivia, crafts, and snacks! All ages are welcome.

Seasonal Craft Beer Tasting

Join Drinky Events for a tasting of some awesome, hard to find seasonal craft beers! Mike Stein from Lost Lagers is providing the education and Pipetown Traders will provide 5 seasonal craft beers to get you in the holiday spirit. The best ugly holiday sweater will win an awesome prize! Online registration is $25 until Wednesday.

Santa’s Secret Bookshop
Southwest Library (900 Wesley Pl. SW)
Time: 1-2:30 p.m.
The Friends of the Southwest Library will offer children the ability to select two books or DVDs from our store, wrap these gifts for their loved ones, and receive a treat for thinking of others. Children under 9 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
The Nutcracker Suite with DC Swing
Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (545 7th St. SE)

DC Swing! presents Duke Ellington’s jazz treatment of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, and other big band holiday favorites. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.
Live DJ Yoga for UN Refugees + Ugly Sweater Party
405 Yoga (1000 Florida Ave. NE)

405 Yoga will hold a flow class set to the live beats of DJ Equaniseung. A donation of $20 to UN Refugees is requested at the door.
