Crime Roundup: Police Arrest Boy After Robbery Near Eastern Market
Police arrested one boy last night after he and a group of juveniles allegedly attacked and robbed a man near Eastern Market.
The robbery occurred about 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue SE and 7th Street SE. A man reported that a group of boys knocked him to the ground as he was walking down the sidewalk and stole personal items from him.
Police canvassed the area and arrested a suspect. Police have not released information on the suspect because he is a minor.
There was also a robbery yesterday near the intersection of 7th and K street NE. That robbery occurred about 4:40 p.m., according to a tweet from the Metropolitan Police Department.
The suspect was described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and blue New Balance shoes with lime green laces.
