Suspect Charged in October Sexual Assault, Burglary in Hill East
A man suspected of breaking into a Hill East home and sexually assaulting a woman in October was charged on Friday with first degree sexual assault and burglary.
Antwon Pitt, 21, was arrested on Oct. 14 in Prince George’s County, Md. but was not transferred to the district and charged until Friday.
The attack happened on the 1800 block of A Street SE, about a block from the Stadium-Armory Metro station, between 2 and 3 p.m. Oct. 13.
Pitt will be detained until he appears in court in January, according to the Washington Post.
In the arrest announcement, police said Pitt lives in Southeast Washington, though the Washington Post reported that court documents show his address is near Union Station in Northwest.
Pitt was also charged with another burglary near Catholic University in Northeast.
