Happy Birthday To You!: A Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash

Children can have “an afternoon of crazy crafts, silly snacks and a chance to get Seuss-ified by” a caricaturist at the Northeast Library, according to the library’s website.


Film Screening: Journalism in D.C. Movies

7-9 p.m.

Mike Canning, author of “Hollywood on the Potomac: How the Movies View Washington, D.C.,” hosts a free screening of “All the President’s Men.”

The Sublime Stand-Up Comedy Series

7:30-10 p.m.

D.C. comedian Allan Sidley brings in a cast of comics for a night of stand-up comedy. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.


HBO Boxing After Dark: Luis Ortiz v. Tony Thomson
D.C. Armory (2001 East Capitol St. SE)
10 p.m.

World Boxing Association Interim Heavyweight World Champion Luis “The Real King Kong” Ortiz takes on former world title challenger Tony “The Tiger” Thompson. Tickets are $25-$100.
