Pretzel Bakery Relocating to Space One Block Away

A Hill East bakery known for its pretzels and sandwiches is moving down the street.

The Pretzel Bakery, which hand-rolls its own Philadelphia-style soft pretzels, will close its doors at 340 15th St. SE tomorrow, then reopen at 257 15th St. SE on Wednesday, the company announced on Facebook:

We’ll be closed on Tuesday, March 1st as we make the transition to our new location. We’ll open at 8am on Wednesday, March 2nd at 8am at our new location just a block away from the original at 257 15th St SE.

According to The Washington Post, the new space will span 2,000 square feet and double the size of the kitchen. And all that extra room means new menu items, like a pretzel calzone and a cheesy version of the bakery’s signature “Nutella bombs,” according to the Post.
