H Street Gallery Seeking Historical Photos for New Exhibition
A gallery on H Street NE is on the hunt for photographs that show local flavor throughout the years.
Gallery O on H (1354 H St. NE) has asked local photographers to share old and new photographs for a new exhibition called “Portraits of H Street Now and Then” to be held May 7-13.
“H Street NE has been a destination and commercial corridor in D.C. for decades. However, it is just now experiencing an economic revitalization and cultural shift away from its historical roots,” reads the Gallery O website. “To celebrate everything that makes up this vibrant corridor, we are calling on photographers who want to share photographs old and new.”
Though the gallery will welcome whatever you have to send, it’s especially looking for photos that show “the history of H Street and encourage anyone with older and historical photographs to partake in this exhibit.”
All photos must be submitted by April 8. Click here for more information about submitting a photo of your own.
