(Updated at 1:10 p.m.) Navy Yard might get a cameo in HBO’s “Veep” this year.
A crew from the television comedy about a fictional U.S. vice president-turned-president filmed yesterday near the Starbucks at 1200 New Jersey Ave. SE, which is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation headquarters.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the show’s star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, was on set. But executive producer David Mandel was in the area, along with some extras.

The show is expected to wrap up filming in D.C. tomorrow, according to The Washington Post. In addition to Navy Yard, Veep has shot at Hains Point, DAR Constitution Hall and Spring Valley, among other places. Cast and crew members also were spotted at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in West End last night.
Veep’s fifth season is scheduled to air in April.
