What to Expect for the Capitol Hill Area This Weekend
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and ShamrockFest are coming to the Capitol Hill area this Saturday.
The annual marathon and St. Patrick’s Day festival at RFK Stadium are slated to draw thousands of people and bring road closures.
If you decide to venture out and brave the crowds, you can expect the temperature to be in the 60s Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. There’s also a chance of rain Saturday. But it’s more likely Sunday.
Here’s what else you might want to know for this weekend:
- Southwest dockside bar Cantina Marina has opened for the season.
- Friends of Southeast Library will have its monthly fundraiser Saturday, with most books for sale for $1.
- Hank’s on the Hill is having its annual Biggie Smalls party Saturday night.
- Nashville-style hot chicken and other Southern offerings will return to Vendetta on the H Street corridor Sunday.
