What to Expect for the Capitol Hill Area This Weekend
Thought the Capitol Hill area was done with snow for the season? Think again.
The National Weather Service is predicting rain and snow Saturday night through Sunday night. The temperature is expected to rise to the mid-40s Saturday and Sunday. But the temperature likely will drop below freezing at night during the weekend.
Here’s what else you might want to know for this weekend:
- Sweetgreen is offering a free lunch for help with Eastern High School’s garden Saturday.
- The Big Board on the H Street corridor is celebrating National Corn Dog Day with all-you-can-eat corn dogs and tater tots for $10 Saturday.
- Country music group The Wil Gravatt Band is set to help Cantina Marina in Southwest celebrate its reopening Saturday.
- Maury Elementary School is holding its annual gala and fundraiser Saturday.
- Elephants, clowns and acrobats with the Garden Bros Circus are scheduled to visit DC Armory for five performances Saturday and Sunday.
- D.C. United will take on the Colorado Rapids in the District soccer team’s home opener at RFK Stadium Sunday.
