Fireworks to Light Up Southwest Waterfront Next Month
An annual fireworks festival in honor of the blooming cherry blossoms will light up the sky in Southwest next month.
The Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival kicks off Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m. The festival will bring with it “hours of free music, family friendly water-related activities, cultural experiences, live entertainment and delicious foods,” according to the official event listing.
The fireworks are set explode at 8:30 p.m., rain or shine. The ideal viewing location is in Southwest Waterfront Park, near the Titanic Memorial, according to the organizers. The park is a quick walk from the Waterfront and L’Enfant Plaza Metro stations.
