Thief Hits Woman With Chair in Laundry Room Robbery in Southwest
A man whacked a woman with a metal folding chair and robbed her in the laundry room of an apartment building in Southwest over the weekend, police said.
The robbery happened on the 500 block of N Street NW about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
The victim was in the apartment building laundry room when the man approached her, according to authorities. He then knocked her with the chair and took her purse and cellphone before fleeing.
Police are looking for:
W/M 5’9, slim build, brown short hair, jeans, dark hoodie, grey tennis shoes, no facial hair

- An armed carjacking on the 700 block of 15th Street NE about 11 p.m. Saturday. Police are looking for:
2 B/M’s Suspect(1) dreads dark clothing 6’0 in height, Suspect(2) dark clothing 5’8 in height
- A robbery with a gun on the 200 block of 17th Street NE about 10:15 p.m. Sunday. Police are looking for:
B/M, 20’S, SKINNY BUILD, 5’6 – 5’7, L/S WEARING DARK ZIP UP JACKET.
