Man Shot in Hill East

(Updated at 9:50 a.m.) A man was shot in Hill East last night, police said.

The shooting happened on the 1200 block of I Street SE about 10:45 p.m. Thursday. The block includes the Potomac Gardens public housing complex.

The victim was conscious after the shooting and brought to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities haven’t released any suspect information.
