New Principal to Lead Eastern High School
Eastern High School’s principal is passing the torch to a new leader prior to the upcoming school year.
Sah Brown will lead the school in the 2016-2017 academic year, according to a D.C. Public Schools press release. Brown will take over for outgoing principal Rachel Skerritt.
Brown recently led Roosevelt High School as interim principal and served as an assistant principal at Cardozo Education Campus. He also formerly worked at Hardy Middle School.

Sah Brown is the new principal at Eastern High School for School Year 2016-2017. Brown has served students in Washington, DC for 11 years, most recently as the interim principal at Roosevelt High School @ MacFarland and assistant principal at Cardozo Education Campus. In his first year leading at Cardozo, the 9th grade academy promotion rate increased by 25 percent. Prior to this role, Brown was the assistant principal at Hardy Middle School for three years, and before that, was a co-principal at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School. He has extensive experience in special education, having served as a special education coordinator at Margaret Murray Washington School and as a special education teacher at Anacostia High School. He began his education career in 2005 as a DC Teaching Fellow, and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lehigh University, and master’s degrees in special education and educational administration from Trinity Washington University.
