‘S Street Rising’ Reading, Signing and Q and A

Former Washington Post reporter Ruben Castaneda, author of “S Street Rising,” will appear at Pound the Hill to read, sign and answer questions about his book. “S Street Rising” is Castaneda’s memoir of covering the D.C. crime beat during the violent crack era — while struggling with his own crack addiction. It is also a portrait of a city in crisis. The Washington Post placed “S Street Rising” on its list of 50 notable works of nonfiction published in 2014 and Brightest Young Things named it one of the best books of the year.
