Police carA woman walking on 16th Street NE was sexually assaulted on Thursday by a man with a tattoo of a cross on his face, police said.

The woman was walking on the 1100 block of 16th Street NE about 12:15 a.m. Thursday when she was approached by a man. He sexually assaulted and robbed her, police said.

The suspect’s face tattoo is on his right cheek, police said. He is in his 30s, has short hair and a medium complexion, and stands about 5-foot-6, according to police. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes.

Police are hunting for three men spotted on the scene of an armed robbery on Bladensburg Road NE earlier this month.

The men caught on video are persons of interest in the investigation of a store robbery on the 900 block of Bladensburg Road NE at Neal Street NE, police said Wednesday. The crime occurred about 3 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, according to police.

The men — one of who grinned as he walked into the business — were caught on store surveillance cameras.

Anyone who can identify these individuals or who has knowledge of this incident is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to the MPD’s text tip line at 50411. The MPD offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent offense committed in the District of Columbia.
