A festival with live music, cold drinks, games and lots of food trucks is once again set to return to Navy Yard in a couple days.
Truckeroo, the self-described “biggest food truck gathering in D.C.,” is scheduled for the Bullpen at Half Street Fairgrounds (1299 Half St. SE) Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., according to a press release.
Admission is free, and more than 25 food trucks are slated to come to the event.

Food trucks will roll into Navy Yard next week to kick off another year of Truckeroo.
The food truck festival is slated to return to the Fairgrounds at Half and M streets SE next Friday, April 15, according to an event listing. The festival will have more than 20 food trucks, drinks, live music and games from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. that day. Admission is free.
The festival, which began in 2011, will feature D.C. Slices, Goodies Custard, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Surfside and Urban Poutine, among other food trucks during its inaugural event.

(Updated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday) Food trucks are descending on Navy Yard to kick off another year of Truckeroo.
The food truck festival is slated to return to the Fairgrounds at Half and M streets SE April 24. More than 20 food trucks will be on hand, as well as cornhole and live music, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. that day, according to a Truckeroo flyer. Admission is free.
The Fairgrounds also will host Truckeroo on May 15, June 12, July 10, Aug. 14 and Sept. 11.
The festival, which began in 2011, will feature D.C. Slices, Goodies Custard, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Surfside and TaKorean, among other food trucks, Truckeroo representative Allison Luchey said in an email. Due South, a new southern-style restaurant opening in the Navy Yard neighborhood, also will have a food truck at Truckeroo, she said.
