Maketto exteriorTrendy H Street restaurant Maketto (1351 H St. NE) will sling free sandwiches to honor its one-year anniversary Sunday.

The eatery will debut its new breakfast menu at 8 a.m., followed by inaugural servings of its new lunch menu between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Then, between 3 and 5 p.m., the restaurant will give away samples of its new fried chicken sandwich collaboration with Shake Shack.

The event will also include activities for kids like jugglers, balloon animals and coloring, and activities for adults like a DJ and other musical performances.

Maketto exteriorPopular H Street eatery Maketto (1351 H St. NE) will turn into an all-you-can-eat Korean buffet for one night only next month.

Chefs Erik Bruner-Yang and James Wozniuk will host chef Deuki Hong and writer Matt Rodbard for a celebration of Hong and Rodbard’s new cookbook, “Koreatown: A Cookbook” on March 9 at 7 p.m.

During the event, guests will enjoy endless servings of steamed pork and leek jjinppang buns, dakbokkeumtan, spicy braised chicken thighs and white chocolate kimchi cookies created by the seven chefs alongside cocktails and beer thanks to James River Distillery and Tiger Beer. Guests will also receive a a signed copy of “Koreantown: A Cookbook.”

Tickets are $75.
