Trucks. Trucks! Trucks!!

Trucks of all types and sizes will park at RFK Stadium’s Lot 7 next Saturday morning as part of the D.C. Department of Public Works (DPW) annual Truck Touch event.

Attendees will be able to blast the horn behind the wheel of nearly 30 different vehicles used by the city to clean and repair streets, collect trash, clear snow and provide emergency services. Kids and teens under 18 will also receive a free box lunch during the event.

This is the DPW’s 9th consecutive Truck Touch. Last year’s event attracted thousands of truck-loving locals.

Trucks of all types and sizes will be parked at RFK Stadium’s Lot 7 on Saturday, June 6, as part of the D.C. Department of Public Works (DPW) annual Truck Touch event.

Attendees will be able get behind the wheel and even honk the horn inside 30 different vehicles used by the city to clean and repair streets, change traffic lights, collect trash, clear snow and provide emergency services. DPW employees will be on hand to answer questions and talk at length about the agency’s role in the community.

This is the DPW’s 8th consecutive Truck Touch. Last year’s event attracted more than 3,000 people and featured mounted police horses, rideable Segways and a police helicopter.
